Hello, I am Dr. Debbie Sorensen. I am a clinical psychologist, practicing in a medical setting in Denver, Colorado. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Anthropology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Harvard University. I have a background in developmental psychology, and my clinical practice focuses on veterans with a variety of physical disabilities and mental health concerns. My primary approach to psychotherapy is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I have been a lecturer at Harvard University in the Department of Psychology, and am passionate about teaching and training mental health professionals in ACT and supervising psychology students. I am also starting a new podcast called Psychologists Off The Clock.
I love living in Colorado, my home state, with my husband and two young daughters. When I’m not busy working or podcasting, I enjoy reading fiction, cooking, travel, and getting outdoors in the beautiful Colorado Rockies.
